A livelier life drawing event, Dr. Sketchy’s is where artists of all levels draw fabulous burlesque and variety performers. Enjoy delicious cocktails and compete in zany drawing contests to win free drinks and other awesome prizes! We’ll start off with quick 1- and 2-minute gesture poses and gradually move up to 20-minute sketches. No drawing experience is necessary; just bring your own drawing materials—plus generous cash tips for our model—and join us for some fun figure sketching practice!

"Known as the "Temptress in a Teacup", Tempete La Coeur quietly stormed her way onto the DC and Baltimore burlesque scene at the beginning of 2015 and has joyfully twirled her way around to stages all over DC, Baltimore, Virginia and beyond!

A master of the unexpected, Tempete has been known to surprise audiences with her clever twists on classic and her moving and sometimes hilarious take on neo-burlesque. She’s also one of the instructors of the Essential Tease class series.

Batten down the hatches, because this petite Puerto Rican/Italian powerhouse will make you giggle and think with a wiggle and a wink and you might get a little wet in the process!"

Doors at 6:00 pm, drawing from 7-10 pm. 18+ to draw, 21+ to drink. $12 in advance, $15 at the door, plus service fees for online and in-person credit card transactions. BYO drawing supplies—space is limited, so compact drawing setups with sketchbooks no larger than 12x18 are strongly recommended. No photography, messy paints, or dip pens, please (watercolors are fine).
